COVID-19 Update: New Procedures to keep our Loyal Customers and Staff Safe

Dear Valued Customers,

We are happy to say we are still trading and taking new bookings through these new restrictions.

During this time it is paramount that we implement important measures to help reduce the rates of COVID-19 for all Queenslanders. We would like to share with you the ways in which we are working to minimise the risk of spreading infection.

Below is an outline of what you can expect from our tradesmen. If you have any questions or additional concerns please contact us.

  • Before arriving to your premise our tradesmen will have a discussion with you around the following – Do you have any existing health issues or if you are in self-quarantine? Ways to minimise being close or having physical contact with you. Protective measures or equipment they will use on the work area to protect themselves. Measures to leave the work free from contamination by the tradesmen.
  • The day prior to your booking, Hewitt Trade Services will also send you a reminder that will confirm that you are well, have not been in contact with a suspected case, or have not recently returned from overseas. Unfortunately, at this time, Hewitt Trade Services will not be able to conduct work in homes where people are <14days returned from overseas, or where people are self-isolating due to contact with a confirmed case.
  • We will not be asking you to sign anything on the day of booking and we encourage you to make payments over the phone via credit card. If it is necessary to make payment from a savings account via the EFTPOS machine, you will be given gloves to use and the machine will be wiped clean with alcohol wipes.
  • Our tradesmen will be taking extra precautions to minimise the risk of infection and spread, prior to attending your premise, while in the work area and after leaving the premises. These include wearing masks, washing hands, wearing gloves, correct disposal of equipment and abiding by social distancing guidelines etc.

While we understand some of these measures can seem unnatural, Hewitt Trades Services are taking this matter very seriously and we want you to feel confident in our ability to reduce any risk when attending your home or workplace.
